Scale 1/96 (1/8 ich = 1 foot)
These 3D-printed parts are intended to help you build the Baltimore class heavy cruisers USS Saint Paul CA-73 or USS Los Angeles CA-135 as they appeared during the Vietnam War.
These parts are designed to represent the four protected fighting positions, known as "gun tubs", for dual-gun 3"/50 cal. mounts. Two of the tubs feature angled, rear corners. The angled corner provides space for the flag lockers of the forward superstructure. Subtle raised disks indicate the location of the 3"/50 cal. mounts. 3"/50 cal. mounts are not included.
Overall dimensions of this design are based on official US Navy drawings of sistership USS Los Angeles CA-135 adjusted to match photographs of USS St. Paul. Copies of these plans can be obtained from The Floating Drydock (FloatingDrydock.com). Some features have been designed thicker than scale to meet 3D-printing requirements.
