The BAE Systems AN/ALQ-144C Infrared Countermeasures Set is an infrared jammer, providing protection against infrared missiles. The jammer is nicknamed the "disco light".
 
This model represents the AN/ALQ-144C type.  The -144C jammer's transmitter drum is 12.62 inches (32.05 cm) in diameter.
