Payment and Shipping Information
Frequently asked questions.
How do I pay? We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Credit card transactions are processed by PayPay. You do not need a PayPal account to use your credit card.
Do I have to pay tax? Model Monkey collects 7.25% sales tax at checkout for orders printed by Model Monkey and shipped to North Carolina, USA addresses.* Orders shipped internationally may be subject to your country's taxes, tariffs and import duties. See below for more information about international shipping.
Do you accept returns? We do not accept returns. All sales are final.
When is my model made and shipped? Please allow 3 weeks to print and ship your new 3D-printed models. Your gray resin model is 3D-printed after you place your order. We print models on a first-come, first-served basis. 3D-printing is a very slow process. Each model typically takes several hours to print. Production time varies according to workload. Larger orders and larger models will take longer to print. Models are shipped the next business day after 3D-printing is complete.
From where is my model shipped?
Gray resin models are printed by Model Monkey with our own Formlabs 3D printers and shipped from the Model Monkey workshop in North Carolina, USA.
White acrylic plastic models, nylon models, metal nameplates and very large models are 3D-printed by a company called "Shapeways". Shapeways ships from their factories in New York, USA or Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Normally, your Shapeways-printed model will be printed in the Shapeways factory that is closest to you and shipped to you from that factory. When you buy a large Model Monkey product or nameplate printed by Shapeways, you are actually buying the model from Shapeways, not from Model Monkey. For taxes, printing and delivery questions about models printed by Shapeways, please contact Shapeways customer service (click here).
How is my model shipped? Gray resin models are shipped to you via the United States Postal Service (USPS). Shipping can be combined for multiple orders that have not yet been shipped. USPS is closed on Sundays and US federal holidays.
Where can you ship? We can ship to more than 190 countries via the United States Postal Service, including APO, FPO and DPO.
Do you replace models lost or damaged during shipping? Only if you buy shipping insurance at checkout. Model Monkey is not responsible for products that are damaged, lost or stolen in transit. Model Monkey will not replace damaged or lost products at our cost if no insurance has been purchased. If your insured models are lost or damaged, the USPS may require from you proof of damage or partial loss of contents. You must retain any damaged item, packaging, and all contents until the claim is resolved. The USPS may require you to bring the item, packaging, and all contents to a Post Office for inspection.
