Payment and Shipping Information
Frequently asked questions.
How do I pay? We accept PayPal, PayPal Credit, Venmo, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Your credit card payment will be processed by PayPal, but you do not need a PayPal account to use your credit card.
Do I have to pay tax? We only collect tax for models printed by Model Monkey shipped to North Carolina, USA addresses (7.25% sales tax at checkout).* Orders shipped internationally may be subject to your country's taxes, tariffs, import duties and other fees. See below for more information about international shipping.
Do you accept returns? No returns. All sales are final.
When is my model made and shipped? Please allow 1 week to print and ship your new 3D-printed models. Your models are 3D-printed after you place your order. We print models on a first-come, first-served basis. 3D-printing is a very slow process. Each model typically takes several hours to print. Production time varies according to workload. Larger orders and larger models take longer to print. Models are shipped the next business day after 3D-printing is complete. When we buy postage to ship your package, you will receive an automated email notification stating that your models have been shipped. The notification will include the tracking number.
From where is my model shipped?
Gray and black resin models are printed by Model Monkey with our own 3D printers and shipped from the Model Monkey workshop in North Carolina, USA.
White acrylic plastic models, nylon models, metal nameplates and very large models designed by Model Monkey are 3D-printed and sold by a company called "Shapeways". Shapeways ships from their factories in New York, USA or Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Normally, your Shapeways-printed model will be printed in the Shapeways factory that is closest to you and shipped to you from that factory. When you buy a large Model Monkey product or nameplate printed by Shapeways, you are actually buying the model from Shapeways, not from Model Monkey. Please contact Shapeways customer service (click here) for questions about taxes, printing and shipping questions for models printed by Shapeways.
How is my model shipped? Models printed by Model Monkey are shipped to you via the United States Postal Service (USPS). USPS is closed on Saturday afternoons, Sundays and US federal holidays.
Will you combine shipping? Yes, shipping can be combined for multiple orders that have not yet been shipped.
Where can you ship? We can ship to more than 190 countries world-wide via the United States Postal Service, including US territories, APO, FPO and DPO. At checkout, for APO / FPO / DPO AE customers, please use New York as your shipping state. For APO / FPO / DPO AP, please use California as your shipping state.
Do you replace models lost or damaged during shipping? Only if you buy shipping insurance at checkout. Model Monkey is not responsible for products that are damaged, lost or stolen in transit. Model Monkey will not replace damaged or lost products at our cost if no insurance has been purchased. If your insured models are lost or damaged, the USPS or your local postal service may require from you proof of damage or loss of contents.
