These 3D-printed models represent trunnions, a key component of the enormous 14 inch 50 caliber main battery of New Mexico-class and Tennessee-class battleships USS New Mexico BB-40, USS Mississippi BB-41, USS Idaho BB-42, USS Tennessee BB-43 and USS California BB-44.  ​These trunnions are slotted to accept your favorite brass or kit barrels.  When properly assembled, you are able to set the position of the barrels to any realistic elevation from +30 degrees to -5 degrees, just like the real turrets.  The trunnions are perfectly matched to sets of 14"/50 cal. turrets available separately.

For those needing a set of barrels with integrated trunnions, a set of barrels is available separately. 

These 3D-printed acrylic parts are designed to accurately represent features of the real ship based on official US Navy drawings.  These trunnions are not 3D-printed copies of any plastic or resin kit's parts and therefore may be shaped and sized differently than those parts.  Some adjustment to your resin or plastic kit's parts or other aftermarket parts such as photoetch or wood decks may be necessary for best fit.
