This model represents the as-built island of USS Lexington CV-16, the "long bridge" configuration, as it appeared circa May through the end of 1945.
 
The island was in this configuration when she had launched attacks on Honshū and Hokkaidō airfields, and Yokosuka and Kure naval bases to destroy the remnants of the Japanese fleet.  In the actions at Kure, F4U-1D Corsairs of VBF-94 flying off the Lexington, sank the hybrid battleship/aircraft carrier Ise.

This design captures features specific to USS Lexington, differing from other 3D-printed Essex class aircraft carrier island designs available separately.
