These models represent the carriages supporting Blomefield 1790-pattern 9-pounder cannons. Famously known as the "Long Nines", these weapons were fit to early 19th Century Royal Navy warships and played a significant role during the Napoleanic Wars. The celebrated 74-gun ships-of-the-line, such as HMS Vanguard, carried as many as 18 of these cannons, 14 on the quarterdeck and 4 on the forecastle.  Frigates, such as HMS Diana and those of the Apollo class, carried four 9-pounders, 2 on the quarterdeck and 2 on the forecastle.

These carriages are not 3D-printed copies of any plastic, resin, metal or wood carriages but are of an original design.  The size of this 3D-printed carriage may be different from your kit's parts.  Some adjustment of your kit's parts may be necessary for best fit.
