Set includes 7 cannons.  Carriages not included.


These models represent the Blomefield 9' long-pattern 18-pounder cannons fit to early 19th Century Royal Navy warships such as 74-gun ships-of-the-line HMS Vanguard and HMS Bellona, a the 64-gun HMS Agamemnon, as well as the 38-gun frigates HMS Diana and HMS Trincomalee.  


Vanguard and Bellona carried 28 of these weapons, all on the upper gun deck.  Agamemnon carried 26 of these weapons, all on the upper gun deck.  HMS Diana and HMS Trincomalee also carried 28 of these weapons, all on the gun deck.


These weapons were also in service with the fledgling US Navy.  USS Constitution carried 16 of these weapons when she first put to sea in the summer of 1798 through June, 1802.


The models feature King George monograms.


Although there were minor variations among real cannons, these models' scaled dimensions and details match dimensions from tables published in "British Smooth-bore Artillery: a Technological Study to Support Identification, Acquisition, Restoration, Reproduction, and Interpretation of Artillery at National Historic Parks in Canada" by David McConnell.  Their details were matched to those of surviving cannon.
